In Japan, several times high speed running tests of a narrow-gauge at 160 km/h have been performed for each line section and much data is obtained. The track structure after the rehabilitation of Northern Line is almost the same level as that of the first-class track standard in Japan and it is estimated that the level of the track maintenance system is also high enough.
Therefore, the following specifications for the track rehabilitation are generally necessary and thereby, an expected high speed running may be realized.
(b) Turnout
Because of the result of the study same as the above, some of the specifications of a turnout for a reinforced track are changed as shown below.
